rosk02EugenMayer Can you tell what is wrong? Why this issue is closed?
krabbe commentedI put status to active again.
I have the same problem after updating to Version 6.x-2.0
I see the image on the edit-page in the backend, but if I save it and it turns to frontend there is only this token-text ([[wysiwyg_imageupload:2:]]).

You know what the abbreviation „RTFM“ stands for?

eugenmayer commentedRTFM? WTF? :)

haikubear commentedDear EugenMayer,
Thank you for contributing this module to the community. As I've commented previously on a different queue for the 1.x version of this module, it fills a much-needed gap, and as you know, many people are grateful. Still, I have to say that closing an issue request without so much as a comment seems unnecessarily rude. We are here to help others into this CMS, into F/OSS and into the community - shutting the door in their face won't help.
Dear R0sk0 and krabbe,
Your issue is due to the fact that the wysiwyg_image_upload module installs a new "Input filter" which it requires in order to function. However, it does not enable it - this is your job.
That will do it.
As far as I can tell, your request was closed without comment and you were told to "RTFM" (read the funky manual) because these steps are alluded to in the Installation Instructions... They require a bit of decoding, however, so I thought it would not do harm to spell them out a bit here.
Cheers to all!

Inte commentedI've configured the Input Format (Filtered & Full HTML) to use Drupal Wiki inline-images, cleared all caches und still getting:
[[wysiwyg_imageupload:10:]]
As you can see I also have a problem with the preview window. It just shows the ID of the uploaded image. There are also no thumbnails in the WYSIWYG Image upload Browser. Just multiple Insert this image messages.
It's a new setup which had never seen older module versions.
Using CKEditor_3.3.1.5586 + Danland-Theme (Garland as administration and content creating theme) + wysiwyg_imageupload-6.x-2.0
The images are getting uploaded to default/files/wysiwyg_imageupload/$uid, but imagecache (presets and actions are configured) generates no scaled images.

eugenmayer commentedhaikubear well, when you see this issue the ~ 20th time, always with the same reasons, you probably will understand: People did not even TRY to read the documentation.
They did not read them before installing but they did not even try to search and read them after they encountered problems.
The first thing those people try is to look for the easiest way, with the lowest amount of time THEY need to put into it, so THEIR problem gets solved. And thats simple, writing and issue and let others do the work. This is ignorat, antisocial and lazy. Yes harsh words to maybe wakeup those.
please read the bottom of this page : http://drupal.org/node/808626
Iam not doing this because iam evil, its because iam tired and need to protect my motivation working on this module. Otherwise people actually trying hard wont get any support from me, because iam completly stopped reading issues.
So thats why i clean up those issue with the one people really investigated, put THEIR time into it and need help with those, which did not even try to look up the easiest informations or the installation docs.
I hope this calrifies my harsh behavior here.
@inte: you clearly have imagecache / image api / gd problem. Read the link provided above, read the incompatibilities section and verify your problem on a clean drupal installation / default theme. After all open a issue with detailed informations about what you tried to reproduce it.

haikubear commentedEugenMayer,
I understand what you're saying. It's tough to have to support everyone.
The one thing that strikes me is that there was a pretty radical change from 1.x to 2.x - and those of us who use drush to get the latest releases don't necessarily go to the project page when upgrading... so there could be different reasons why people became confused during the upgrade process (not only the lazy ones!).
But, I don't want to argue. I understand. And I really do like this module. I'd like to help - my coding skills are not anywhere near enough to contribute, but maybe I can work on some documentation? Let me know if that would be helpful, and I'll figure out how and when to do it...
eugenmayer commentedHaikubear if you make a _major_ version change and you dont read the release notes or project notes - you are on your won. this is defently drupal-suicide.
If you can make the documentation better - go straight forward. Its hard for the developer of a module writing good docs. I think the docs are pretty complete, but maybe wording and "simplicity" is missing, due to my deep understanding of the module.
Iam very helpful for every contribution, code, documentation, feedback and critics.

Inte commentedMaybe someone else need this hint too.
I had a ImageCache Issue: http://drupal.org/node/410200

ChrisValentine commentedVery sorry to have to post this, but I've got [[wysiwyg_imageupload:15:]] tags and no images. I have worked through the FAQ but even though the button works exactly right, I'm still only seeing tags in the preview or view.
Drupal 6.22
jQuery UI 6.x-1.5
jQuery UI Dialog 6.x-1.10
jQuery Update 6.x-2.0-alpha1
imagecache 6.x-2.0-beta12
WYSIWYG Image Upload 6.x-2.9
CKEditor 3.6.2.7275
What I've done:
All of this is on a new install - its never been upgraded from an earlier version, neither have any of the modules, except the jQuery where it was suggested in the FAQ.

haikubear commentedChrisValentine,
Check out my comment #7 above. You need to enable more than
tags in your html presets, you need to enable "Drupal Wiki Inline Images" - or whatever this filter might be called now (I haven't looked at settings in about a year).
Good luck!

ChrisValentine commentedhaikubear you hero - sorted! Its in the Installation READ THIS! as step 4 - how the hell did I miss that?!
For Drupal 6, click:
Administer -> Site configuration -> Input formats
For each of your input formats (eg: Full HTML, Filtered HTML) click configure
Scroll down and in the filters section, enable the option Drupal Wiki inline-images
