...in the module description... that's all I ask...

Maybe a link? What is scoop?

http://www.google.com/search?q=scoop doesn't seem to provide any insight...

Scoop is,

Scoop is a "collaborative media application". It falls somewhere between a content management system, a web bulletin board system, and a weblog. Scoop is designed to enable your website to become a community. It empowers your visitors to be the producers of the site, contributing news and discussion, and making sure that the signal remains high.

Scoop powers the popular Progressive blog, http://dailykos.com and allows users to simply click a link that says "Recommend" which gives the content a greater value, i.e. points. A calculation is used to post the content with the most recomends to the frong page and time is used as an additional variable. So, content that is recent and recommended floats to the top instead of older content. JS is used to register the recommendation without reloading the page.

Beyond that, I don't know what is happening with this module. There is no CVS activity since Sept. and it never made it out of Head. Maybe, Drumm could tell us what is up?
