We are launching our site day after tomorrow and are very excited to have this feature.
When appearance configuration is set to both, flags don't show at all, only the dropbox. I tried choosing different flag sizes and checked our css to make sure it is not something from our side.
We also used this module on another site and same problem occurred.
Any suggestions, ideas or tips how to get this working?

I think that you are using Google Default translation method. Please read the translation method description and choose whatever is best for you.

Try with on-the-fly.

I have tried all sorts of different setups and nothing seems to be working the way it used to. I just want to show both the flags and the drop down. And no matter what setting I put it at, it just will not do it. And if I use the "Pro" setting then the translations do not work at all, but there are nifty flags. If anyone has a clue how to get both the flags and drop down to show up and get the translations working together that would be great, thanks.

I got it working on my BeneCredit site using the 1.8 version of the module (available only on developers site) that has been updated for Google Translate 2.0 API. Not sure if links are allowed here but you can Google it to see the example.
