We need a marketing department to make sure all drupal related stuff looks the same and can be re-used; leaflets, posters, text on drupal, pressreleases etc should all be taken care by one role (person), just like http://www.mozilla.org/projects/marketing/. What do you think?

briandburnham commentedI'm a marketing MBA (still a student) with experience in designing promotional material and a feverish interest in Drupal.
I would be more than interested in taking the job (or helping out where I can). I have been looking for a way to contribute, but couldn’t cough out code to save my life.
Let me know what I can do to help...

Bèr Kessels commentedDries asked me to compile an example of the "drupal marketing repository". Here is a pdf that shows the intended book structure and the idea of how I would like to see the section shape.
Bèr Kessels commentedThe book section was created and all the info can be found in CVS. I forgot about this issue, so updating it now.
I am still kind of "waiting" for Stevens filter system to hit the drupal.org site.
I can then either get permsissions to post inline images, or get someone who has these rights to update the bookpages, so that they look nicer and more facne. All html for the images is in the bookpages already.
Bèr Kessels commentedlong time fixed already. They live in handbooks and CVS

I would be happy to help. I have only one question at this time.
Who is the customer - customers?
Regards
Ron
PS: the recent talk about classifying the drupal sample cites is a fantastic opportunity to really help people understand what drupal can mean to them.

ahoppin@civicspacelabs.org commentedBer, I'd be glad to help with this project as well. At CivicSpace we are actively working on, and encouraging our partners to work on, developing marketing materials for specific "vertical" markets of customers such as political campaigns, schools, and artists.
