I would like to have a block for version 4.7 of the latest # of feeds of a particular aggregator category in the frontpage with the headline, the 'blog it' pic for registered users, and with teasers. It's like putting the whole aggregator category in a block but with a limit of the number of feeds shown in the block. Anyone has a snippet of this? The snipppets in the drupal handbook are just with the headlines and i don't know where to start to tweak them.

It would be great to have this aggregator category block with teasers at the bottom of the content region so the frontpage looks more content-rich and is good for SEO :-)

this would be great as well when a user browses thru a taxonomy category and then the latest aggregated news with the same category is listed after the nodes....hope someone can really help me with this :-)

Did you ever solve this? I too would like to display an rss block on the frontpage with teasers. Anyone know how this could be done?
Im a Drupal noob, and my php knowledge is very basic, but Im trying to learn.

Any help would be much appreciated.

i made a new region on my theme like a "below-content" region. then i made a block with the title Latest News and on the content of the block i pasted this code which i got somewhere from the handbook (thanks to the one who contributed this snippet):

$q = $_GET['q'];
$_GET['q'] = drupal_get_normal_path('aggregator');
print menu_execute_active_handler();
$_GET['q'] = $q;

had the visibility set to show only on the page i want it shown.

and all the content of the aggregator page is now on my front page, you can change the path to whatever category you want to be inserted and to whatever page you want it inserted.

This code works great for me. I displays 20 items from my aggregator feeds and then has links to additional pages. I would like to know if there is any way to modify the above code to limit the display to 10 items per page.

With this code, i get the full feed. I'm looking to place just a teaser, not the full post. Any idea how this can be done?
