Hope this may help. Modules like Gmap (gmap-6.x-1.0) and Rotor (rotor-6.x-2.7) don't work with JQuery Update (jquery_update-6.x-2.0-alpha1).

In Gmap "Javascript is required to view this map" message is displayed.
In Rotor the banner only displays the first image.

The 2.x branch adds jQuery 1.3.2 to Drupal. Many modules have scripts that are outdated or were written to not be compatible with the version in core and this one. Those issues should be filed against the respective modules. This one just adds the JS. Only if there is a problem with that should an issue be posted here.

Thanks for adding them to the other queues as well. That is where they need to be fixed.
