I would like to see slogans able to be overridden by sites.

The attached patch achieves this. If the user leaves the slogan empty, the default one is used. I chose this behaviour because it means the default behaviour is the same as prior to this patch (no surprises for those upgrading!)

As this module has not been maintained for some time, I am closing this ticket as “outdated”. A new version of sites which is architecturally and technically unrelated to the Drupal 6 and Drupa 7 versions will be published here soon.
