Hi want to create a citizen journalism website, where people will be able to post news, create blogs, forums, and wiki. I need a good logo and a modern template.

I will pay upto $1000* (talk to me if you think you deserve more).

I want a logo with the design.

When does the contest end?
What type of logo are you looking for?

The contest runs (only) right here, and it will end once I choose someone to do the theme (and logo) for me.

I am thinking.. do you think I should like... give out $10-$50 for people to submit their designs, so that I can choose from it? I am doing this for the first time so I dont know, suggest me.

The logo needs to be kinda web 2.0-ish, not 2.0-ish as in shiny and stuff, but clean and simple and nice, so that people remember the logo.

If you think you just want to play with the logo you can do that too. Tell me how much you'd want for that. The logo should have the logo of course and the favicon.

With no end date and moving target? I wish we could work on this but you have to make it very clear and tight in terms of timings, selection process, your exact needs.

Alright, here is info about the site. It is a community driven website. So users post everything. The site has, the following drupal installation.

1) Main Site
2) News
3) Nepalese News Site
4) Labs Page
5) Email Page
6) Admin Page

All of these are separate drupal installations, using the same user database.

Apart from these, the site has a small search engine of hand picked domain. Wiki and free blogs powered by MU-Wordpress.

After thinking what I want, it might not be best to say theme contest beacuse you might be doing some coding/installing. Anyway, so heres the deal.

I want you to create the design/layout for the whole site. Logos for the section if you think its necessary (your the designer). And its hould be easier for people to understand the site and its sections.

The Main SIte will be a landing page to the site. It should have a pleasent and welcoming look. And should present him with the services offered by the site. It should have some images, recent posts into the different section of the site. Show the most popular contents and stuff like that. It should also provide nice way of leading them to other servies of the site, while making sure news still stays important (its the main content afterall). The main accepts general content, essay, stories, articles and stuff, thats not news.

The news section should have a main image, and thumbnails for other posts. The thumbnails disappear when clicked in the image, and instead a bigger version with caption is displayed in the given location. (This migth require module programming, i will make it public, or you can sell it if you want, i dont care, all long as i have the right to it too).

The same applies to the nepalese news section.

The other section are going to use the general theme to display small information, like services offered, ways to create their email account and stuff.

So, only the main section, forums and news sections accept data form the visitor.

after vincent's suggestions, I have decided to integrate the whole site into one drupal installation, making designing easier. I have three guys really willing to this. I will post the results tonight.

i forgot to update this... vincent could not accept the contest because he was too busy to fit it in his schedule... to bad for us :(

i did not feel like announcing it again... so i cancelled the contest and did the design myself...

its not as professional as it could be.. but check it out...
