I have installed Gallery into my site and uploading the photos is working great but when you click on an album nothing happens when in theory it should open up all of the photos in that album. Anyone else having the same problem?

I have no problems getting Gallery working, perhaps you could be more specific in what your config is.

To troubleshoot, have u installed the Gallery module yet? That is, does Gallery work by itself (as it should) fine? If accessing the Gallery as a standalone causes the same problems then that is probably a Gallery config problem and you should find more help in the Gallery forums..

I was under the impression that you needed to install the gallery module to get the Gallery working? The Gallery application was installed into its own directory within my site, via the Fantastico script in my cpanel. After doing that I was unsure how to integrate this into my Drupal installation? Drupal is in my root directory and I wanted the Gallery to appear on a page within my Drupal site.

I hope this makes sense! please advise, thanks

the Gallery should work fine by itself, the Drupal Gallery module just integrates it into Drupal.

Turn off the Drupal Gallery module and try to access the Gallery by itself. Can u see the albums?

My site is this www.girlsonfilmnetwork.org and my gallery is here www.girlsonfilmnetwork.org/gallery - this is the admin side of it - and therefore its not part of the Drupal site navigation, also once a user is there there is no way to get back to the Drupal site. I would like the gallery to be embedded into the Drupal site, but the gallery module is not doing its job!

Anyone?

hi tanya, heh you're gonna have to be a bit more specific in terms of how the Drupal gallery module is failing.. do u have the required image block and image frame modules installed on Gallery? is your drupal gallery module installed properly in Drupal? if so, you should be able to go to /admin/settings/gallery and see the error logging settings (set it to 'watchdog') Then see your logs to see what errors are thrown

AH I SEE the light just in the middle of typing the post, you named, unfortunately, the gallery as 'gallery' when you _should not_! This makes Drupal confused between Gallery (the menalto gallery) and the Drupal Gallery module.. check out http://drupal.galleryembedded.com/index.php/Installation I guess the only resolution is to reinstall Gallery naming it gallery2 or something like that

Ok so I tried to do what you said, I renamed the gallery directory to gallery 2 but now when I go to galleries page it is asking me to upgrade, when I put my password in it says invalid password.

Looking in my FTP client I now have one gallery directory and one gallery 2 directory!

When I tried to configure the gallery and change the directory name to gallery2 it just comes up with errors.

I have tried to remove the gallery installation through the cpanel it won't work.

I have tried to delete both gallery directorys from my ftp clent and that won't work either.

I would like to get rid of the gallery and start again, any ideas?

try deleting the directories through shell access? it shouldn't be impossible to delete! or ask your hosting provider.

Remember to delete/create new mysql database as well

I had once a problem with Gallery: you have to disable PHP safe mode if any.
