My last drupal update was 4.7.0-rc3. I installed 4.7.3 in a different directory, and copied the files recommended by the UNIX shell upgrade instructions, but all my links refer to the old directory. I updated $base_url in settings.php so I don't see why this is happening.

I've been fortunate to not yet have had the need to do an upgrade to an existing site, so this is a shot in the dark. But could it be cache related?

I turned off caching and it worked. Thanks; can't believe I didn't think of that.
