Somethings wrong with the maintenance page. The logo, site title and slogan are sitting in the top right corner:

Furthermore the site title takes on the link color instead of staying black. This was a silly user stylesheed I dit not turn off :P

The branding-wrapper div was missing from maintenance-page.tpl.php.
