Hi,

Thank you very much for this very cool module that I enjoy a lot.

I have a suggestion regarding this module in term of accessibility.

The flag is only display when you already select a language. So let say if I don't know english an I want to switch to my language (Vietnamese).

It would be very nice to have Vietnamese Flag displayed inside the dropdown list as:
Flags Tieng Viet

So that I can recognize my language right away from the flag. Not until I already select "Tieng Viet" and then the flags display later.

I attached one of the image for illustration.

Thank you

Seconding. I thought that it would show the language icon in the drop-down list - I thought the whole point of using icons was to provide a symbolic means of choosing a language. Whilst it is nice to see the selected icon, the icons should ideally be used to make the selection in the first place.

Thanks for this module though. It's a useful space-saver.

Important feature!

You cannot have an image inside a standard drop down using HTML. The only way to do this is through JavaScript. If anyone wants to take a stab at it I did find a JQuery plugin at http://www.marghoobsuleman.com/jquery-image-dropdown

Update. on 6.x-1.4 not 6.x-1.3

Version: 6.x-1.2 » 6.x-1.4

...correct version then ;)

Version 6.x-1.4 does indeed move the language flag inside the javascript dropdown. Problem is I now have two flags displayed, one the same size as the original displayed outside, and another slightly larger and wider. I'm using Language icons 6.x-2.0. Is there some configuration change I need to make?

See #1111544: HTML in dropdown with Language icons and no JavaScript there's a temp solution for this from Language icons settings.

Nevermind, I found it. Visit Administer >> Site configuration >> Languages >> Icons then uncheck Language switcher block.
