This happens in both 6.x-1.0 and 5.x-1.4
This just started happening after running the sites for 3 years. I use Audio Import so I can FTP the large audio files then import them as audio files. I just tried to import a file (I do it weekly - church sermons) and when I saved the file, the length of the file changed dramatically: from 12,435,447 to 503,808, and the length of the audio changed from 25 minutes to a little over 1 minute. I tried this several times, with the same results. The file after FTP'd is the correct length, but when I import and then edit the imported file, the getid3 section shows the file dramatically shorter. The first part of the file plays fine, but just ends after that length of time. I tried replacing the file in the audio folder with the longer file, and when I edit the file, getid3 shows the correct length, but when I save the file, it shortens again.
I did a Linux ls -l command on the directory, and the files are shown as having the shorter length.
Any idea what is going on here? I am stuck!

bdornbush commentedThis has been resolved. It turned out to be a problem on the hosting server. I diagnosed it by copying the site to another server and found that the problem didn't occur there. So I got the hosting company to move my site to another server, and the problem disappeared.
