I would like the possibility to add videos in a custom cck field. Since CCK is the future, I hope the video module will have this flexibility soon.

+1 for this feature. My needs exceed the current custom_fields module as I need more fields and I don't see a way to easily add more fields without hacking the current module.

Since these CCK fields are like some submodules for CCK, this subject should be under the CCK section. Check this thread where they are starting a CCK module to add a videofield to a custom contenttype: http://drupal.org/node/105119
