I was checking out how twitter handles themes, this module is great...but how would i go about putting a checkbox or an option to tile a background image because some users might have large background images some might have very small ones they would want to tile.

Any ideas?

The checkbox sounds great. I'll add that in a future version -- I hope to release one this month (it's been a while).
