I attempted to post this a little while ago, but it doesn't appear to have shown up for some reason. I can't find it in the forum, or under "my discussions", or when searching the entire site for "bad_httpd_conf" -- it seems to have disappeared into the ether. I'm hoping it will work this time. Quite possibly I did something wrong the first time around.
I am fairly new to Drupal and trying to set up three sites, all running on the same Drupal installation. Two of them -- the default and one of the ones I added -- are showing up fine. The third, which I added in exactly the same way as the second -- is not. When I try to go there, all I get is the following error:
Site Temporarily Unavailable
We apologize for the inconvenience. Please contact the webmaster/ tech support immediately to have them rectify this.error id: "bad_httpd_conf"
Does anyone know what this means, and what I can do about it?
The specifics of my setup:
Drupal: 4.7.3
PHP: 5.1.2
MySQL: 5.0.18
Web server: Apache on Debian Linux (not sure how to find out which versions)
Shared hosting (on Dreamhost.com)

Oops! Not Drupal's fault...
Well, it looks like it may not be a Drupal issue after all. I tried Googling the error message (which I probably should have done first before posting here) to see if it came up in any other contexts, and found this:
http://wiki.dreamhost.com/index.php/Bad_httpd_conf
On the Wiki of my very own web host, no less. Apparently it's some kind of Apache glitch, so I just tried editing my domain settings (without making any actual changes) as the Wiki entry suggests, and we'll see it that works. Changes take 5-10 minutes to take effect. If not, I'll take it up with their tech support.
I thought about deleting the above post, but it might be better to leave it up so that if anyone else experiences it, and thinks like I did that it's a Drupal issue, they can find this post and realize it isn't, and work it out with their web host.
