When I go to http://drupal.org/forum it often takes 10 seconds or more to load. The forums themselves such as 'Post Installation', 'Before you start', etc.... are usually a bit faster but can also take well over 5 seconds to load. I presumed it must be because so many people are on this site at once but then again I am a member of other big forums on the net that I imagine are just as busy as drupal.org and they have no issues with load times.

So is the problem:
1. Slow servers
2. Drupal code is alot less effecient than vb or phpbb
3. drupal.org is just way busier than other forums
4. Something else?

I am concerned that down the line, if my site becomes successful I will run into the same permanence issue that is affecting this forum.
