Module appears to be abandoned; correct me if wrong. I would like to roll another release with at least one bug fix currently in dev.
Following procedure in http://drupal.org/node/251466.

oda commentedThe fact that maintainers have no time to improve the module does not imply that it's abandoned.
I really like (and use) NR and I try to give all support I can. I will be glad if you help me and I'm pretty sure the maintainers and other users will also like it.
Since I do not have any important patch to apply, I've never asked for cvs access. But if you consider that you have important things to commit, go ahead and send a email to darius. I'm sure he will instruct you on how this should be done. And please, count on me!

I am also interested in seeing Node Relativity development continue. The problem is that there doesn't seem to be an active maintainer--this is what I mean by "abandoned". There haven't been any commits in over half a year, no new releases in over a year. I contacted darius last week asking whether he was continuing to work on the project, but have not received a response.
If no one is active, I would like maintainership to be transferred to someone who is active on the project. I'm really in need of a release to include some of the patches from the dev branch. So I'm following the procedure in http://drupal.org/node/251466 for reclaiming active maintainership of an abandoned project. Would you like to maintain it?

oda commentedFair enough. I can (co-)maintain this module, but let's give darius some time to respond.
Of course I expect some help on this task, so it will be nice if you decide to be a co-maintainer.

darius commentedGreat, I'd be very happy if someone can take over the maintenance and development of this module. oda, I added you to CVS list; threexk, I will add you once you apply and receive the Drupal CVS account. Please feel free to commit and release according to your judgement. Sorry for the late reply,
Darius

oda commentedThanks Darius! I hope we continue the good job all maintainers has done.

parasox commentedWhoever gets involved could look at this page from the Handbook and maybe update it or reflect on those ideas.

dunklea commentedCan someone please take a look at this issue: http://drupal.org/node/563760. I am still have trouble with reference nodes being displayed in node teasers.
Thanks!

jonhattanJust to say I'm also interested in co-maintaining NR. In fact I already contacted @darius two months ago. At that time I did some reviews. A patch was commited recently by @davea and other fix is still pending review: #541618: Access denied to «list of nodes to attach» for users without 'administer nodes' permission
no hard feelings, just to inform :)
Two things I'd like to see in this module are:
* improve API documentation, code standards, best practices (the issue linked above is an example)
* improve the code by decoupling some functionality that is written inside theme functions (for example see`theme_relativity_show_children()` and `theme_relativity_show_parents()`)
btw, I don't see @oda nor @threexk in the commiters list at http://drupal.org/node/17004/committers :/

darius commentedjonhattan, I added you to the maintainers list (with CVS access). We now have several people with commit privileges. Whoever has the most time, skill and energy, please don't hesitate to start committing patches and move this module forward. Just make sure to file an issue for each commit, so people are kept up to date.
After a month or so, I will limit the list of maintainers to active ones, so that it's easier to move ahead. Thanks,
Darius

oda commentedI'm glad to see all this activity around this module!
I created a simple demo site: http://relativity.oda.mat.br/ and I will be using it to reproduce errors and to test patches. If any maintainer wants to have access to this site, just let me know.

avpadernoI am closing this issue, since all the users with the vetted role have been added as co-maintainers of the module.
