I can not figure out what's going on but if I use the blockquote tag in the body & side content field -- it causes the enclosed text to be italic, see:

the rest of the text is without a blockquote w/ and tags included where wanted

I've also included a blockquote tag in the sidecontent block as a comparison

this seems to be a bug with this theme....I'm going to investigate the style sheets...

I deleted blockquote from this line and it fixed this little annoying issue
