After installing civiccrm on my production site, I started getting "Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted" errors. I run my own vpn with 768MB (2gb of burstable) memory and my php limit is set at 256MB. The page requests were exceeding 512 MB of memory in some instances. I would love to be able to run this but I cannot dedicate so much memory to PHP (the server still has to run you know) and decided to uninstall civicCRM because my linux was making huge core dump files because of this.
What's the gig? Is this module/web app a total memory hog or what? is there some way to manage the memory dedicated to CivicCRM itself?
