Whenever I enable devel_themer on my current project, the JS that runs simplemenu appears to bork, so the menu is displayed as an unordered list. Not sure if this is specific to my project - more than happy to post details to aid debugging.

Also, I'm not sure if it's simplemenu or devel_themer that's causing the issue - based on my experience with the latter, I'm guessing it's that - but thought it would be worth posting here first.

Did you try to play with the Simplemenu cache & header/footer settings?

Try each one of those one by one to see if it makes a difference:

1) uncheck the "Cache the simplemenu variable"

2) "Scope of simplemenu variable" set to footer

3) uncheck "Allow Simplemenu to call the theme() function"

Ah cool!! That works. Is it possible to make an automatic if you enable the themer modul that this settings are temporary choosen?
