Characters replaced in custom menu-item.

I have a link on my page:
gallery&g2_controller=useralbum.UserAlbum
When I add this menu item, the text is replaced with:
gallery%2526g2_controller%3Duseralbum.UserAlbum

I understand that these links are "supposed" to be the exact same thing, but I'm afraid they are not.
These strange %26, %3 etc characters break the link.
...Any ideas?
