I was working on a webpage in chrome, when Macromedia crashed. I immediately lost my session and was logged out. I did not logout myself, just lost the session I guess. Upon trying to log back in, all I get is "Access denied. You may need to login below or register to access this page". This happens only on my desktop machine where "macromedia" crashed in Chrome/IE/Safari browsers.

The strange thing is, I can't even login to drupal.org from these browsers either!

Firefox logs me in. I am writing this post from Firefox which works just fine on this machine, but none of the other browsers do.

On different machine I can login fine in all browsers. I cleared cookies and all user data from these browsers, but still no luck. I have no idea what the problem could be as it seems to be just my local browsers related. I have other users on my site unaffected and I can login to my site from other systems. I can login to mail.yahoo.com fine from these browsers, so its just drupal installations that are affected in only these browsers on this particular machine after the crash.

I also get, but only sometimes a popup upon login "ajax.module: An unknown error has occured".

Anyone ran across anything like that before?

I disabled my Ajax modules. No longer get the "ajax" error, but still no login access.

This is still unresolved. I can't figure it out. I'm going to have to rebuild this machine I guess. Why in the world could this be happening?
