I think it would be great to optionally show site name and logo on top right corner of navbar instead of the top of the content.
Personally I believe it is better for the user to see the content straight away (and for SEO), and not have to scroll down too much :)

I am attaching the screenshot mockup as well :) Nothing fancy, just to get the point across.

While implementing such setting is a no-brainier, I have some doubts about it:
- majority of logos would look awkward on dark background
- there would be no place left for printing site slogan

From SEO perspective it would make no difference.

Corolla has some light color schemes, like the one I would like to use :) with this setting

- there would be no place left for printing site slogan

I myself never used it :)

Most large websites, at least in Alexa Top 50 don't have such a large site name on every page, but they display it more discreetly like on the screenshot I attached. Or perhaps, just have it on front page, with site slogan like Google, and display a smaller logo on content pages like on the screenshot.

From SEO perspective it would make no difference.

If users see the big logo and sitename on every page with needing to scroll down for the content the bounce rate would increase, and time on site would decrease. Bye bye first page of Google :)
