I am using a module logging_alerts and I need it to be a bit more granular. As it stands now it allows you to enter an email address based on different severity levels. I need it to be able to also be on type level. Can someone help me with this please.

The problem that I see with type filtering is that those types can change depending on the installed modules. There is no central place where the types are managed. The dblog module itself simply takes all distinct types currently in the database.
Anyway, since I needed this functionality urgently for a project, I wrote a module that provides it. It should be pretty simple to merge it into the logging_alerts module.

For a first review I attached the whole module as a zip archive. If needed I could help out to modify the logging_alerts module.

If the maintainer is not interested I would consider making it an own project on drupal.org.

@ginga8 Haven't heard back in awhile. So I'm going to close this issue on the feeling that you've already gotten the need resolved on your end.
