This is my first attempt at building drupal websites. Actually, the site was launched a few months back and it's a recipe sharing site for home cooks. The site makes use of themed views, the theme is based on Acquia Marina - basically the 1st theme I came across on the druapal theme page after Zen. It's a basic site that will grow with user content.

I could use some constructive comments/feedback please. I'll be contributing my first drupal theme soon, i'm excited about drupal (even my wife does not know why).

Thanks for your kind words. The site is for people from every background though. It's just that the only people that have added content are Africans.

The site begs for user contributed content/recipes and feedback regarding feature requests. Comments about what can be improved will be very much appreciated.

Nice and clean site. I like the header and nav area especially.

IMHO it would be a bit better if:
1)Add hover effect for links, say underline.
2)The border of boxes in the featured area and major area look thick. Better with thin ones. You can also add variation for the boxes, say the bottom box can have white bg and green border.

Thanks for taking out some time to review the site. I had initially used lighter borders but I only had a few people (family) to review the site, and varied the colours using firebug. They seemed to go with the thick borders. I take your suggestions on board, with a little variation, and see what other people say.

Site looks great! Nice job!

One thing I noticed was (not sure if your intended to do this or not) the background color does not match the image directly under the preface. I'm assuming you meant to make it gradient down from the image?

Other than that it looks great

Thanks. Could you do the screenshot of the screen area you are referring to? Are you referring to the light green bar just above the "Simbol's Kitchen is a place to let..." text?
