This module is easier to setup and more straight forward then "securepages" module and it just works perfectly unlike securepages. It would be even greater if admin/* pages could be included as well.

I don't have plans to add features to the Drupal 6 branch, but if someone contributes a patch I'd review it.

You could install the Secure Pages module (http://drupal.org/project/securepages). I believe it secures all administration pages.
