The new drupal.org theme shows the number of comments for a node (story) on the home page and also the number of reads. What is the piece of php I inline to display the number of reads?

I can't see those options. I'll check for a newer stats module.

you cant because you don't have the cvs version. get it here (watch the bottom of the page).

(note to drupal devs: about half of the support requests have to do with people not having cvs installed, i've got the impression. we should really make more frequent releases / announce the cvs version and it's advantages more prominently)
