Imagecache thumbnails tutorial or documentation

I have been trying to get Image thumbnails with with Imagecache working. Unfortunately, I am still not familiar with the imagecash module. It seems like I can't find a tutorial that explains the use of imagecache step by step. In case you know a good tutorial or documentation about the use of Imagecache (using it with Imagefield), please let me and the community know.
