@JoshuaRogers, deekayen and all module maintainers: About creating a 6.x-1.0 Recommended release? What do you think?

More than 600+ sites are currently using the 6.x-1.x-dev http://drupal.org/project/usage/troll

I have been using this module for months on production sites. And can confirm that its core features are stable.

Lot of people are not using this great module because there is no Recommended release. Thinking that this module is unstable or not ready for production sites.

I'm sure more people would use this module if there was a Recommended release. It could also attract more contributors and testers.

I concur ..other than the issue with it not logging blocked-IP attempts (http://drupal.org/node/652732) i'd say it's ready for prime-time!

I use this module primary for logging IP's and displaying user info, that works well.

Recently I just got #863712: Blocking user puts user in wrong role, so I don't think it's time for a recommended release just yet.
#864470: Banning by IP - shows link when disabled is also one issue that should be fixed, unless you like having dead links..

Based upon this I do not think the module is production ready. Well of course if you disable/remove more than half of the features like DNSBL, IP banning (completely) and only shows information about the user, then it would be production ready.

I used this module a lot and have found it to work great! I would say go for it.

Just do it! If it's not stable enough, make a beta! That way we'll at least know when bugs are fixed and regression occurs...
