In building this site, Drupal provided most of the building blocks, as you folks can probably tell. Most of our effort went into theming. There are only 2 custom modules, one containing some general usability fixups, and the other providing the online schedule.
Unfortunately the schedule doesn't leverage many Drupal concepts, ie it has its own tables, doesn't use nodes, etc. The data is even imported from another company's system, with a seperate back-end interface. :(
However the ticketed events section provides a similar sort of show-listing and is built over CCK & Views. The whole section was almost an afterthought that came upon realising how easy to use CCK is.
CCK is also used for the rotating ads. Rotation groups are taxonomy terms, where each ad is a CCK node with fields for URL, file attachment, etc.
This was our first experience with Drupal and it was generally great! It took one programmer, myself, a month to implement, including the time I spent learning Drupal.

I really like it! The overall look and appeal is creative and interesting. The implementation of Drupal is great this site has a allot to offer its users. I’m looking forward to more Drupal sites from this team.
