With OG Galleries enabled, the ability to assign certain node types to vocabularies disappears

I'm structuring a website that's based on the Organic group concept. Have installed several modules in that area, such as the event.module (and realated modules) the OG module (and related modules) the image.module (and related modules) and finally some user*.modules.
And with it goes a big taxonomy with several vocabularies and several terms (and subterms) thereunder.

All was working fine until I created my first group. That creation worked, but what happened as a result was that several node types disappeared as an option in the vocabulary system and thus rendering it impossible to use, as the group node type was one of the types that disappeared.
It looks like the only optional node types visible under the vocabulary are the ones that are not omitted from the group under 'settings > og' in addition to the group node type itself.

As soon as I disable the OG Galleries module, all is well again.
