The initial numbers identify what version of Drupal the module release targets; 7.x-a.b should be used on Drupal 7 (not yet released) and 6.x-a.b should be used on Drupal 6.

So, download the Drupal 6 version of the module.

I'll need a LOT more information than that to help you.

For example, one problem might be that you're trying to use a Drupal 7 module in a Drupal 6 site...
