I recently upgraded my site from 6.5 to latest version, 6.17. When I’m in the Post Settings page at example/admin/content/node-settings, I clicked on Rebuild Permissions and in the following page, I confirm that I want to rebuild the permissions. I then get a message saying that the content permissions have been rebuilt; however, I still get a warning message saying that I need to rebuild the content access permissions. I never got this message with 6.5 but since I’ve upgraded to 6.17, I get this message on every page. What’s going on here and what can I do to fix this problem? And by the way, I ran the database updates, cleared the caches, re-indexed the site, and ran cron, all to no avail.

Which access control module are you using? You might have better luck in that module's support queue.

First of all keep up to excellent development of Drupal!... :)

I didn't want to open another issue on something similar, but I have a fresh install of 6.26 with no content created yet, just configuring core and added modules.

After enabling "Workflow Access" of-course I get the normal "The content access permissions need to be rebuilt. Please visit this page.", but while it attempts to rebuild it just hangs there with the throbbler running and never begins the progress bar.

It shouldn't even attempt to rebuild if there's no content right? Do I send this issue to the Workflow module?

@Vc Developer if the issue occurs when you install a contrib module, then the issue should be posted in the contrib module's queue.

First Repair database tables after this clear cache and run cron.
