Issue Summary
'Invalid server' doesn't really help.
There are several possible problems:
- server not found -- check the server name
- 403 forbidden -- check the permissions on the server
Better feedback means less time spend headdesking! :D

I have just committed a rewritten javascript, which puts the XMLHTTPRequest object's error message into 'div.messages.error'.
