I'd like to know if there is a price for this module. As stated on the module page, the module claims to be free for certain low traffic websites, or for testing purposes. I have downloaded it for testing purposes and right away I've got a Business Development person contacting me for a $1700/mo fee, claiming that "the Drupal module is not actually free unfortunately".

Either this person or the main page of the module are misleading me, and I'd like to know this actually works. Thanks!!!

The module itself is absolutely free and open source.

The module uses the Gigya API and can't do anything useful without access to Gigya's services. Gigya's services are, as you say, free to low-volume sites. To quote from the Member Agreement (http://www.gigya.com/public/content/agreement.aspx):

"IMPORTANT: THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE ONLY FOR (1) TESTING AND EVALUATION PURPOSES, OR (2) PRODUCTION USE ON THE SITE INDICATED ON YOUR REGISTRATION (THE “MEMBER SITE”) SO LONG AS NOT MORE THAN ONE THOUSAND (1,000) UNIQUE MEMBER SITE USERS CONNECT VIA THE SERVICES IN ANY CALENDAR MONTH. IF THE MEMBER SITE DOES NOT QUALIFY (I.E., THE ABOVE USER LIMIT IS OR WILL BE EXCEEDED IN ANY MONTH), YOU ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO USE (OR CONTINUE USING) THE FREE SERVICES. TO CONTINUE USING THE SERVICES YOU MUST OBTAIN A PAID SUBSCRIPTION FROM GIGYA. "

I should add that I'm not an official employee or representative of Gigya, though I am contracted to help with the development of this module.
