When configuring settings under admin/settings/video/transcoders the option 'Enable the use of nice when calling the ffmpeg command.' always remains checked. The option is report to be saved, but is not. Checked in the variables table and it is listed there with nice.

Can anyone else confirm this behavior?

Yes, i can confirm that (with 6.x-4.0-rc7). Under '/admin/settings/video/transcoders' all settings are resetted, when i saved the settings.

I can confirm it too, in both rc8 and rc9 - its seems that thumbnail settings also never get saved. The 'nice bug' breaks the module on windows servers, so I'm rolling back to rc6.

i am using latest 6.x-4.x dev
n when i unchecked nice button n save the configuration, it still remains active ( means checked )
so solve this....
