Hi All,
I am currently working on developing a site to manage tasks for users. The intention of this is to allow users to create tasks. The intention is to ensure that only the creator of the task, and the advisors of the person to create the task are capable of seeing it. I am not sure how to go about this using Drupal. It seems Drupal often focuses on making all posts available to all other users.
Is Drupal a viable solution to this problem?

Yep drupal can do this-- many different ways. Probably the easiest way is with the http://drupal.org/project/private module.
