I am the web department for our church. I was so excited when I saw your module in the module downloads. Finally, I have been wanting to get Drupal and ACS connected since I've been using Drupal. However, we have never purchased the Access module, we already pay ACS way too much money a month for their system. Is there not any way to connect the two systems without Access? I guess this is a feature request/inquiry. I'm not sure I want Access when I can get groups, events, online payments, etc inside Drupal. I'm just looking to tie the users together in the two systems. Thanks for your efforts.

Sadly, The only ACS API I am aware of is through Access ACS.

I could be wrong, but when my church spoke with them (it was some time ago), to use the API you had to pay extra. This must have been to get Access.

I did a little digging on their site and wiki. I was not able to find anything outside Access ACS.

If there is another API, which you do not need access for, it would be great to incorporate into this module. I am just not aware of one.

If there isn't one this is a great opportunity to contact ACS and suggest a feature.

It has been added to the documentation in the module and the project page that you need Access ACS to use the API.

If there is another API or way to access data another ticket can be open requesting that the other API be added as an option. If it holds to the style of the Access API it should be relatively easy to add.

I'm marking this as fixed since it was added to the documentation.

Thanks for the response, my hopes for integrating ACS are dashed. The joys of proprietary software. I'll keep foliowing your work.
