I've been using Drupal for a while now but just got into a weird situation with the core search module.

Loading the search page works fine. I get the title "Search" right above the form and breadcrumbs say "home".
But as soon as I enter a keyword and search, the search result page gets its title changed?? (ie: I get a category term name which contains an occurence of the specified keyword). The title of the page changes based on the keyword specified.
Result list is fine though, but the title changes, I'm at a loss.
I disabled and re-enabled the search module but the symptom persists. I'm at a stage where re-installing Drupal is unthinkable.
Is there a way to have total control over the search result page display theming? Has anybody seen this happen?
