migrating drupal project from remote testing server to live server

Hi All
I am new to drupal & doing some R&D before I start. I have a project deployed in remote testing server where me & other developers/tech.writers work. & we use to review that project on that testing server only. But now after making the project live how we should update live server project? Like everytime after working on testing server how we should update our project in live server? We are using Microsoft VSS for version controller.

Any help or suggestion is really appreciable..

what is missing from the handbook?

If you can identify which of the documentation pages you find confusing, perhaps someone can help fill in the gaps.
If you say where in the handbook you looked and expected to to find the information, perhaps the docs can be improved by better linking.
