Hello.

I want to create a video album page with any number of videos within a category and associated thumbnails.

I'd like it to link to YouTube and other videos and pull in their description, date and the name of the person that uploaded the video.

Which module do you recommend? I'm looking for a structure similar to PHPmotion. I've searched the modules, but quite a number of them don't have demo pages.

I would look at CCK and Embedded Media Field for the input and probably use Views for the display.

I'm not sure what you are looking for. I don't know of a step-by-step recipe for what you want. But reading the documentation on the embedded media page offers a lot of guidance. Some Views and CCK video tutorials would help a lot.
