That is a question that is starting to pop up more frequently. We are closing on on a beta release now, but how much longer will we have to wait until it is really finished?

Last night I posted Drupal 7 for Production Websites Part 1: Drupal 7 Core on my blog. Its the first part in a series of three where I write about the current state of Drupal 7, when it is likely it will be ready, contributed modules, what you can do now and how you can help speed things up.

Would love some comments from other Drupalers to it about your plans for adopting Drupal 7.

In the interview linked from your article, Dries is expecting that D7 beta will be released this August; and D7 probably in September/October. Or this is what they are trying to do. You know, "it's ready when it's ready".

Other point is modules for D7, something you mention you are going to write about. Thanks for your articles on the latest trends.

Dries September/October was an answer to when the general release of D7 might happen. Thus the official release after betas and release candidates.

Glad you like my posts. I have been busy with a few interesting D7 modules the last day, Views and Insert to name two, and will today deploy them on the blog. After that I will write part 2 about Drupal 7 contributed modules.
