multi site,single codebase,single database. low search engine ranking problem.

I have 3 sites installed in a multisite environment. the codebase and database are installed in the www.a.com

Sites structure.
www.a.com ( codebase and database )
www.b.com
www.c.com

I have also using the xml sitemap in the www.a.com. all sitemap url has been submited to google already.

The problem I am having now: the siteB and SiteC has very low search engine ranking. I am not sure whether is the problem of the xml sitemap. or not only this problem. because all xml url address are looks like www.a.com/xxxx.

Anybody can tell me how can I get better ranking for the siteB and siteC .

Do the websites have different content or are they the same but with different domains?

Sitemaps do not guarantee your site will rank higher or even be indexed.

Look into other aspects of SEO.

because its in single codebase. all contents are in the only one system, But I just display different page in different domain.

My question just how to do seo . because 3 sites are sharing all the same content.

Well if all the content on all three sites are identical then i'm afraid there is no way except for adding new content to make them rank higher. pm me your sites and I can have a quick look if you want.
