This may be well beyond the scope of the project, but it would be nice to have a way to manage taxonomy node items. Specifically, make a menu that can restructure taxonomies (with drag-able crossbars) but also display fields from the node.

For example, I'm using this to create a sort of encyclopedia of acronyms. The taxonomy terms are all acronyms, while the taxonomy node contains the description, source, link, etc. On the taxonomy menu, I have trouble remembering what the acronyms are when I go to put them in a hierarchy.

There wouldn't be a need to create a whole new interface either. A cool solution would be to link the taxonomy description with a field from the taxonomy node. That way this module could sync up better with core taxonomy and taxonomy managers that use taxonomy description
