I find myself creating the same pattern over and over: a filefield, a set of imagecache presets for that field for various contexts (teaser, thumbnail, etc.), and optional fields to override the imagecache presets if my designer doesn't like the crop (e.g. it cuts off someone's head or something).

There's lots of ways to accomplish overriding the preset--conditional fields, theming layer, etc. However, it gets kind of tedious to do this over and over again for each new field/preset/content type I create. What I'd like is a simple feature in imagecache itself to specify, on the imagecache preset configuration page, a CCK field that will always override that preset when it has a value.

Assuming a feature like this doesn't already exist, would you consider a patch for it? (If not, I'll probably make my own little module to do it.)
