I can't figure why it is happening, could it be some namespace conflict ?

Yes, the widget javascript needs to be cleaned up a lot. It could definitely be a namespace conflict. This is something that is preventing the 6.x-2 branch from becoming the recommended version.

Too bad that I'm not a javascript expert... but I can test dev versions and provide feedback, if it helps.
