I setup a new drupal site and registered a first account like always. I can login with it and admin the pages, but when Ioad the page new or click on the logo, I still get the "Create your administrator account" shown. I tried it again but it still appears. I also tried to set the starting page in the settings menu, it seem to safe it, but when I reload the page after saving it goes back on "node".
Any clue?

"node" page shows welcome instructions until first node is created (maybe promoted to front, i don't remember).

You point starting page to existing Drupal path?

If you save the settings, does your site give you a message that the files directory is not writable?
In that case the settings will not be saved, and you need to fix the files directory first before trying again.

If it's not a file permissions problem read on:

The page you use as homepage should exist and be visible to users (usually "access content" privileges are needed for authorized and anonymous roles, if you use the frontpage module it's a little bit more complicated.)
If you use the default (node) as homepage for your drupal install you must have at least one node that is promoted to the frontpage.

Ah yeah I guess its the permissions on the server folders. The provider still doesn't get it to work that I can change my own folder writing permissions. Was wondering because I set up another drupal on this server in another folder and it worked. Maybe this folder was set to it b4.

Thanks a lot and sorry for my stupid question.
