Content won't publish

Hi all,

I've been experiencing problems publishing all types of content. After creating the content, selecting "publish" and saving, the content is not published. Upon checking the logs, it seems that the content is being published and then unpublished by some other function. The content only becomes published if I create another page, story, blog, etc. and then try to publish both of them simultaneously. The older one becomes published and the newer one will not. Has anyone else been experiencing this? How can I fix this issue?
