User inputs correct login and password. Error message appears: Sorry, unrecognized username or password. Click on the home link and the site shows user is logged in normally.

Don't know if this is too late, but that would help a lot to find where the problem comes from.. perhaps it has something to do with logintobogan installed.. there is an open issue about problems with that.

Edited: You should consider that this module does not log in any user, it just tracks how many times a user is using the login form, we don't disrupt its normal operation in any way.

I also have this problem. I don't have logintobogan installed.

Edit: I thought the dev solved this, but I forgot to enable it. Anyway, this issue persists.

It's been working fine for me on several production sites in 6 and 7. I'll need more details than this to debug it.
